WHO WE ARE

At Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, we empower communities, gender and vulnerable groups to plan, part-finance, implement, monitor and maintain sustainable and socially inclusive multi-sectoral micro-projects.

We also facilitate and increase Community-LGA partnership  on human development related project.

We increase the capacity of LGAs, State and Federal Agencies to implement and monitor Community Driven Development (CDD) policies and interventions

Sectors of Intervention

The Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency under NGCARES Program interven in community and group investment by providing basic infrastructure services (micro project) in the areas of Water & Sanitation, Health, Education and provision of Nutritional Suplements.

Education

Renovation and construction of classrooms, provision of learning materials

Health

Construction of health posts, equipping primary health centers.

Water and Sanitation

Boreholes, hand pumps, latrines, and drainage channels.

Nutrition

Provision of food supplements to the poor and vulnerable groups

Beneficiaries

As at july 2025, a total numbers of 214 communities and 19 Vulnerable groups with an estimated population of 557,063 benefited from various sectors of intervention under the basic service of NG-CARES in Kogi State.

commissioning of the Ohuogogo Micro Project

It was a heartwarming experience as the wonderful people of the Kuroko community in Adavi LGA gathered to celebrate the facilitation and commissioning of the Ohuogogo by my humble self through the Hayat Foundation, which was reconstructed by the Kogi State Government through the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KSCSDA).
