Kogi State Government Inspects Ayetoro-Gbede Clinic Project Under NG-CARES Program

Ayetoro-Gbede, Kogi State – The supervision team of the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KSCSDA), accompanied by the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Mr. Wemi Jones, visited Ayetoro-Gbede to assess the progress of the clinic project being implemented in the community.

The project, funded by the Kogi State Government through the KGCSDA under the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) program, aims to improve access to healthcare for the people of Ayetoro-Gbede and its environs.

The inspection team, led by the General Manager of the KSCSDA, Chief Momoh Dauda, expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress. During the visit, Chief Dauda highlighted the commitment of the state government to addressing critical infrastructure gaps in rural communities, particularly in healthcare delivery.

“The NG-CARES program is designed to cushion the effects of economic challenges and ensure that communities like Ayetoro-Gbede receive the necessary support to enhance their resilience and wellbeing,” Chief Dauda stated.

Commissioner Wemi Jones commended the agency for its dedication and reiterated the state government’s focus on improving social services across sectors, including health and education. He noted that the clinic, once completed, would serve as a lifeline for the community, providing essential medical services and reducing the burden of traveling long distances for healthcare.

Residents of Ayetoro-Gbede expressed their gratitude to the government for prioritizing their needs, emphasizing the clinic’s potential to transform healthcare access in the area.
